It's Raining Amigurumi and Pouches

Today I'm gonna share some of my amigurumi charactered dolls and pouches that I made.

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting or knitting stuffed animals and the likes. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.^[1] Amigurumi are typically animals, but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features,^[2] as is typical in Japanese culture.

Unexpected Adventure

Crocheted Blanket # 2 (Green blanket)

This is my second commissioned crocheted blanket.

Learning New Skill: To knit

A colleague of mine at work is just about to give birth to her first child, which is a perfect reason for me to hook! This time I will knit (not crochet). But I never tried knitting before, lucky I have a friend who is willing to teach me on how to knit.

I got a little over-excited when she said that she can teach me. She even bought me the knitting needles and allow me to borrowed her knitting book.

This is my first commissioned crocheted blanket. Made in 100% 8ply acrylic yarn from India. Hope you guys like it

The Beautiful Island in Matnog, Sorsogon (Philippines)

Last November 15, 2012 we went to this beautiful island called "Matnog mini-Subic," located in Calintaan, Matnog, Sorsogon City Philippines. A very nice place to spend a summer get away with family and friends. From our home town Daraga, Albay we rode a van going to Sorsogon City then to Matnog Ferry Terminal. From the terminal we rented a "RoRo boat" for Php1500 with whole day island hopping. It was so much fun riding in the RoRo boat.

Kinetic Rain at Changi Airport

Last January 2013 we went to Departure-Check-in hall of Terminal 1 of Singapore's Changi Airport. I was amazed when i saw this:
 

Kobe Bryant's Amigurumi

Last week I've just finished my commissioned amigurumi doll of Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant. A perfect toy for young and young at hearts. Measures approximately 34cm tall.

I have a hard time finishing Kobe's amigurumi but now I'm so happy that finally its done. Here are some of the pics:
